Though it is not a blog, this site was created using WordPress, a free and easy-to-implement open source application that generates HTML from a PHP and MySQL backend. Though WordPress does have some issues (see, for example, my sister’s struggles with spam using this platform), it really is great for simple content management. All the content you see on this site is generated from a database, which means that whenever I want to add a new piece it takes me about twenty seconds. Not only that, but I can, if I wish, completely change the way the site looks by changing just one page of PHP code.
Speaking of the way this site looks, the images at the top of each page are all close crops of photos taken by me. Sometimes I sell images (such as these and these) as well as words. It’s all just content, right?
